Chen Shaoqing (Jan. 1913 ~ Jan. 2014), aged 101, was buried at the Art Cemetery.

He was one of the first generation of engineers of PLA and joined CPC in April 1936. He participated in the Battle of Pingxingguan, the “Great Campaign with One Hundred Regiments” during Anti-Japanese War; he successively held the posts of regimental commander of Fourth Regiment, Second Independent brigade of Ji-Lu-Yu Military Region and regimental commander of 12th Independent Regiment of China North Military Region, and participated in the Kaifeng Campaign, Xinxiang Campaign, Huaihai Campaign. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he took the post of First Deputy Division Commander and Chief of Staff of 193 Division of the 65th Army, Deputy Commander of Tianjin Military Subarea, Deputy Commander of Langfang Military Subarea. He was awarded Third Class Eighty-one Medal, Second Class Red-Star Honorary Medal of Meritorious Service Badge and Sixtieth Anniversary Honor Badge of the Victory of Anti-Japanese War.
